Alternative & Holistic Healthcare Concentration

The Alternative & Holistic Healthcare Concentration provides ICAF and ICAT students with an understanding of alternative medicine and holistic theories which they can weave and integrate into their clinical, educational, and consulting work and their professional practice.

Students explore current issues and trends in a variety of holistic and alternative approaches with a focus on intervention strategies.

Alternative medicines embrace a wide variety of approaches to health, healing, and wellness. These approaches include diet and nutrition, acupuncture, hypnosis, expressive/creative arts therapies, massage, mindfulness, yoga, mind-body-spirit practices, meditation and more.
