The unique focus of this concentration is on eco-health, ecopsychology, environmental illness, and the creative arts as a source of healing, strength, insight, and hope. Students complete General Education coursework and a capstone project.
General Education Requirements
ICAF and ICAT candidates must complete the following 4 General Education courses:
- EH01 Professional Development: Eco-Health
- EH04 Chronic Illness & Chronic Environmental Illness
- EH08 Fundamentals in the Continuum of Care
- EH09 Working with Clients with Environmental Illnesses
The Capstone Project
All Eco-Health Concentration students are required to complete a capstone project. The capstone project planning begins at the start of their training and the final product is due at the successful conclusion of all General Education coursework. All students enroll in the course, EH00 Capstone Project, (this course is free) at the beginning of their program. Students design their capstone project in myriad formats that range from writing a paper to creating a video submission. The course EH00 Capstone Project provides full details and instructions for completing the capstone project.
Upon successful completion of all Eco-Health Concentration requirements, students will receive an Eco-Health Certificate in addition to their ICAF or ICAT Certification.
