CELA offers three Creative Arts Certification Programs:
- Intermodal Creative Arts Facilitator (ICAF)
- Intermodal Creative Arts Therapist (ICAT)
- Intermodal Creative Arts Educator (ICAE)
ICAF
Prepares candidates to facilitate individual and group sessions using intermodal creative arts approaches. This certification is appropriate for educators, artists, consultants, and other professionals who would like to expand their knowledge and use of the creative arts in their work and deepen their understanding of the healing and therapeutic potential of the creative arts. ICAT
Prepares candidates to facilitate individual and group intermodal Creative Arts Therapy sessions. Requires candidates to have independent licensure, (for example, LICSW, LMHC, Licensed Psychologist, Nurse, MD, MFT,) prior to admission into the program. ICAT program requirements
ICAE
Prepares candidates from many different backgrounds to use a a variety of creative arts intermodally in their education, facilitation, and/or consultation work. This certification program builds fluency in the creative arts through studio arts experiences and processes, which are the foundation of an arts-infused and arts-based practice.
