FAQs

Do I have to complete this at the same time as I’m doing my creative arts certification requirements? That seems like an awful lot of work to do all together.

No, you don’t have to do them all together! The Eco-Health concentration is a stand-alone certificate program. You have 12 to 18 months to complete it but typically it’s completed within 6 months. So, you can complete your ICAF or ICAT requirements and receive your certification for that separately and then begin the Eco-Health.

.

Do I receive a certificate for the Eco-Health concentration?

Yes! You receive a certificate (either the CELACare Eco-Health Care Certificate for ICAF students or the  CELACare Eco-Health Support: Therapist Certificate for ICAT students) when you successfully complete your Eco-Health program.

.

How long do I have to wait for the Eco-Health Certificate?

No wait. Once you have successfully completed the program you are able to download your certificate as a pdf.

.

Is it hard to get financial aid for the Eco-Health program?

As an enrolled CELA student taking an Eco-Health program as a concentration,  you are already receiving an almost 60% discount. (The regular certificate program cost for a non ICAF or ICAT student is $125.) Plus, we will work with you to provide additional financial assistance (in the form of tuition remission) through our need-based discounts and scholarships. Contact us! We want to support you reaching your goals.

Program overview

The program is taught in module format and consists of 7 individual modules. Each module is made up of learning tasks that include readings (all provided as part of the program), website visits/readings and explorations, and videos. Typically, students complete one lesson per week but students can work at their own pace and follow their own schedule for completion. There is a quiz at the end of each module. There is a cumulative final exam taken after all the work of the modules and the quizzes have been successfully completed. Quizzes and the final exam are online. Students have six months from the date that they access the online Eco-Health program to complete the program. Time extensions, should they be needed, can be requested. Each student has automatic approval for two time extension requests after which, should they require additional time, the decision regarding approval will be made by the Program Director in partnership with the student and after an academic review. .
